In just a few hours, Google will lift the veil on a few new devices, including its next high-end Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones. Here’s how to follow the conference live this afternoon.
Like every year at the same time, Google is preparing to launch new smartphones. The date of October 6, 2022 was chosen this year by the Mountain View giant. Due to the current pandemic, the event will unsurprisingly take the form of an online conference.
Entitled “Made By Google ’22”, this afternoon’s conference will be broadcast live on YouTube, the Google platform, as well as on the company’s official website. The entire Phonandroid team is obviously on hand to follow the event with you. Google also invites you to react live on social media using the official #MadeByGoogle hashtag. For people with hearing problems, Google specifies that the conference will be subtitled and translated into American Sign Language.

What to expect from the Google conference?
The main novelties expected at the event are known. In effect, Google has itself promoted the products that will be presented thereand this since the Google I/O, which was held several months ago now.
We will therefore unsurprisingly find two new high-end smartphones, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. These will not be not really revolutionary compared to the previous generationbut will bring some small welcome improvements like a 5X optical zoom on the Pro model, or a slightly more powerful Tensor G2 processor.
In addition to smartphones, Google will present its first connected watch running Wear OS 3.5, the Pixel Watch. The American manufacturer had been working on the device for several years now, as evidenced by its aging processor. However, this should not prevent it from being a serious alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5, the benchmark on the market.
Finally, Google announces that it will present new products in its Nest range. We expect to find the new repeaters Nest WiFi ProWi-Fi 6E compatible, or even a new connected doorbell Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Generation.
