Everything is getting more expensive these days. This applies not only to the cost of living, but also to technology. Google will soon introduce new top cell phones with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The prices for it have already been leaked. These models should also be a little more expensive.

On October 6, 2022, Google will introduce new hardware. The Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and the Google Watch are no longer a secret. The company has already shown the devices in advance, only not revealing the details of the technical data and prices. The latter has now probably been taken over by a retailer in Great Britain (source: reddit). From this it can be deduced what the new Google hardware should cost in Germany:
- Google Pixel 7 Pro:
- 128 GB for 881 pounds sterling (equivalent to about 1,007 euros)
- 256 GB for 984 pounds sterling (equivalent to about 1,125 euros)
- Google Pixel 7:
- 128 GB for 625 pounds sterling (equivalent to about 714 euros)
- 256 GB for 728 pounds sterling (equivalent to about 832 euros)
- Google Pixel Watch:
- WiFi version for 282 pounds sterling (equivalent to about 322 euros)
So we can assume that Depending on the version, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be around 50 to 100 euros more expensive. The most important reason for this is likely to be inflation and the weak euro. In the USA, the prices are unlikely to change much, we will certainly only have to pay more in Europe. It was the same with the new iPhone 14 models from Apple.
The price of the Pixel Watch should be around 300 to 350 euros. Since we don’t yet know exactly what the watch can do, it’s difficult to assess whether the price is too high. Here we just have to wait for the performance. With the Galaxy Watch 5 (test) the competition is very strong.

The Pixel 6 smartphones were so successful because the price-performance ratio was quite good compared to the competition.
