Pixel 7 Pro: the screen suffers from a first bug, it jerks when scrolling on certain applications

As has been the case for a few years, Google’s latest Pixel flagship seems to be experiencing issues right after their official launch. The screen of the latest Pixel 7 Pro would be capricious on certain applications.

The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are now on sale worldwide and some have already received their devices. The largest model, the Pixel 7 Pro, offers a large 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO display with a 10-120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and has been rated by DXOMARK as the second best monitor on the market. However, it seems that some users are already experiencing issues on some apps.

Indeed, according to several Reddit posts, scrolling seems inconsistent with the Pixel 7 Pro, so device screen moves randomly and unexpectedly and, in some cases, does not scroll at all. Other users also reports jerks on a few apps like Instagram.

The Pixel 7 Pro are victims of some bugs

We didn’t encounter any annoying issues during our Pixel 7 Pro test, but a lot of users have already reported numerous bugs with smartphones. The YouTubeur MKBHD notes for example that it happened that his media player from the control center disappeared, or that posting a Story on Instagram had resulted in visual artifacts on the video.

Some owners of the smartphone report that the update available out of the box fixes the stuttering issue with the screen, while others say it is not. However, there would be a temporary solution before Google solves the problem itself. This is to disable the “Smooth Display” option in the settings. Just go to Settings, tap on Display and scroll down the page to deactivate the “Smooth Display” option.

Whatever, most users seem happy with their Pixel 7 Pro. In addition to being ranked second in the “Screens” category on DXOMARK, the Pixel 7 Pro also received the highest rating for its photo part. It is also ranked third for selfies.
