The Google Pixel 7 is not very old yet, and the first traces of Google’s next Pixel models are already appearing. Multiple render images and details on the features of a Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold have been shared by well-known insiders, offering a first glimpse of what Google could bring us as early as May.

The images come from the often-reliable insider Steve Hemmerstoffer and were shared by the Smartprix weblog. As with the Pixel 6a, the design of the Pixel 7a is very similar to that of the main model. The general impression is high quality. According to the pictures, the camera island is equipped with two sensors.

Display: More Pixel 6 than Pixel 7?

The display edges do not appear as slim as on the Pixel 7, but rather as wide as on the Pixel 6. A FullHD+ panel with a 90 Hertz refresh rate is to be used here. According to Smartprix, the cell phone should also be wirelessly chargeable. This was not yet possible with the predecessor 6a.

A Tensor from Google will probably be installed as the chipset again. The 6a is equipped with the same processor as the main models. So there’s a good chance the 7a will go on sale with the latest Tensor G2.

Since the Google Pixel 7a is not expected to be released until summer 2023, we advise you to treat this information with caution. Especially because neither Smartprix nor Hemmerstoffer makes it clear where the information comes from.

Also interesting.
