Design, size and processor… what we know about the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
In terms of design, rumors indicate that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro could both sport a ceramic dress. The screen resolution of the first model would be 1080 x 2268, while that of the second would be 1344 x 2822. If previous rumors claimed that the Pixel 8 Pro would retain a size of 6.7 inches, exactly like the Pixel 7 Pro, another leak now suggests that the Pixel 8 will sport a slightly reduced form factor. Finally, the fingerprint sensor should also evolve considerably since it will now be offered in an ultrasonic variant.
On the processor side, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro should be equipped with the Tensor G3 SoC engraved in 3nm, codenamed “Zuma”. This would be based on the Exynos 2300 processor from Samsung, which has still not been formalized, and should improve the overall performance of the two devices.
Reputed to be at the top of the basket in terms of value for money, will the Google Pixel range continue its customs with the next generation? For now, it’s impossible to be sure. But as it stands, there is no apparent reason that would encourage Google to deviate from its usual strategy.
