Well aware of the situation, Google finally spoke up. And, according to her, there is nothing to worry about. These bumps under the screen would actually be perfectly normal since they would be directly linked to the new panels of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. “ The Pixel 8 phones have a new screen. When the screen is off, not in use, and in specific lighting conditions, some users may see impressions of device components that look like small bumps. There is no functional impact on the performance or durability of the Pixel 8 “.
Fortunately, the bumps are only visible in bright light and do not seem to bother any users affected by this problem. It is nevertheless curious to see that not all models are in the same boat. In addition, there is no guarantee that the bumps under the screen will not become more pronounced over the months.
