It is on the occasion of Google I/O 2022 that the manufacturer has lifted the veil on its new true wireless headphones top of the line.

The rumors were therefore true. Google has just announced its new line of true wireless headphones, the Google Pixel Buds, which seem designed to compete head-on with Apple’s AirPods Pro.

Four colors and multipoint Bluetooth for connectivity

On the design side, Google does not change a winning team and retains its usual button format. Silicone tips allow the earphones to stay properly in the ear but also to guarantee the passive and active isolation of the earphones.

The Google Pixel Buds will be offered in four colors coral, yellow, blue and black. The charging box does not change and keeps its usual white color.

These headphones are compatible with multipoint Bluetooth and can be connected to a smartphone and a PC for example, and switch from one device to another seamlessly.

Headphones compatible with spatial sound and active noise reduction for noisy places

If the Google Pixel Buds Pro differ very little from the classic Pixel Buds, these true wireless headphones nevertheless integrate some exclusive features starting with active noise reduction, managed by a processor with six cores and a neural engine , responsible for understanding ambient noise and canceling it. A transparent mode will also be there to re-hear ambient noise at any time without removing the headphones.

The Pixel Buds Pro will also support Spatial Sound but not at launch. We will have to wait a few more weeks and an update to be able to take advantage of it.

Google Assistant will obviously be there and these headphones can also be added to the “Find my device” application and easily found thanks to their last position.

Finally, autonomy is announced at seven hours with active noise reduction and 11 hours if the system is switched off.

The Pixel Buds Pro will be available at a price of €219 but Google does not yet specify the launch date in France. American buyers will be able to get their hands on it as early as July 28.
