The rumor has been circulating for several months, but it materializes for the first time today with very concrete images. Indeed, Google will indeed launch itself on the market of folding smartphones.

And if we are to believe these renderings that have just leaked, Google will take great inspiration from the competition.

A revelation in pictures!

Earlier in the week, a mysterious device called Google Felix made a brief appearance on Geekbench. Many observers then suggested that it was actually the Pixel Fold, the first folding smartphone from the Californian firm. For now, the mobile in question has not been officially announced, but indiscretions suggest a launch by mid-2023.

Now it’s the turn ofOnLeaks and the site howtoisolve to speak with more tangible elements. Below, we have the opportunity to discover renderings of the famous Pixel Fold. A phone that is very reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, the benchmark for phones with a foldable screen.

Form before substance

In addition to these visuals, OnLeaks took the opportunity to reveal several technical characteristics. Thus, the exterior screen of the Google Pixel Fold will be 5.79 inches against 7.69 inches for the so-called interior panel. The dimensions of the unfolded phone are 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7 mm. Count on 8.3 mm thickness including the photo island placed on the back of the mobile. For comparison, this expensive Z Fold 4 has a 7.6-inch internal screen and a 6.2-inch external one.
