  • Google has delayed the launch of its first folding phone.
  • Industry insiders had expected a performance in the fourth quarter of 2022.
  • Now the “Pixel Notepad” should be presented in 2023 at the earliest.

Google has once again postponed the launch of its first foldable smartphone. That’s according to insider reports. A performance expected for the end of 2022 will therefore not take place. Instead, it should be 2023 at the earliest.

According to 9to5Google, this is the second shift. The cell phone was originally supposed to be presented in 2021. The folding cell phone, unofficially dubbed “Pixel Notepad”, was also not discussed at this year’s Google I/O developer conference.

It is not yet known what made the postponement necessary. Internal sources report that the development status has not met expectations.
