Plácido Domingo: discharged from hospital after corona infection

After being infected with the corona virus and spending about one week in hospital, the Spanish opera singer Plácido Domingo (79, "The Latin Album Collection") is apparently on the mend. He spoke on Facebook to clear up the rumors circulating. "I am at home and I feel good," writes Domingo.

The singer explains that an infection was suspected immediately after the first symptoms – and that is why he went for treatment. "Now I continue with my therapy and rest," Domingo says. At the same time, he thinks of all those affected, all helpers and continues to recommend staying at home as much as possible.

"After a week in the hospital, he was released to continue treatment in isolation in his home," a spokesman for Domingos told Opera Wire. Before his hospital stay, the 79-year-old had also announced on Facebook that he had tested positive. Domingo felt it was his "moral duty" to inform the public.
