In this non-E3 period, the Summer Game Fest connects conferences and announcements of games. This Thursday, June 9, was held the main conference of this event, presented by Geoff Keighley, which made it possible to discover games like the remake of The Last of Us, or even rediscover titles like Witchfire, The Callisto Protocol Where Nightingale.
Although there are several notable absentees such as Replaced or Overdosethe hypothetical project of Hideo Kojima which leaked a few days ago, some expected games were shown in the conference that followed that of the Canadian journalist, the Day of the Devs which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This was the case of Planet of Lana developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful Games. Announced 1 year ago and expected for this year, it has revealed for the first time its gameplay in a short video.
Lana finally comes into play
In this video of nearly 3 minutes presented by Adam Stjärnljus, creative director at Wishfully, we therefore discover for the very first time what awaits us playfully speaking in this Planet of Lana. We then learn that we will play Lana, a young girl forced to leave looking for his sister kidnapped by invading robots. We will be accompanied by a small mystical creature, Muiencountered at the very beginning of the game, and which will help you progress in the world of Novo.
We then see Lana and Mui solving puzzles ranging from finding buttons on the ground, to going through small conduits thanks to Mui’s small size. Mui will also have the ability to control certain creatures present on this planet and Lana will have the ability to send her companion to perform certain actions.
Along the way, we discover the different environments that await us in Planet of Lana with sinister caves, lush forests or an oasis in the middle of a desert, a panoply of decorations in a hand-painted style. This presentation ended with a word from the creative director teasing us with a scenario with multiple twists that he promises powerful.
We have not had any additional information regarding the release date of this title which should, if all goes well, be available in 2022 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Note that the game’s official Twitter account announced that thewe would see again Planet of Lana during the PC Gaming Show on June 11.
