(CercleFinance.com) – Plastivaloire presents this evening a turnover of 160.8 ME for the 1st quarter of 2021/22, down 15.9% compared to the same period a year earlier.
‘The activity remained impacted by the periods of ‘stop & go’ in the production centers of the customers, in particular automotive, due to the shortage of electronic components.
The group’s development in its two areas of activity is heterogeneous: turnover fell by 18.1% in Europe (to 137.6 ME) but remained almost stable in the Americas zone (USA & Mexico), at 23.2 ME (-0.2%).
For 2022, the group anticipates a turnover of around 700 ME, stressing that the disruption linked to the shortage of semiconductors should continue until mid-2022 before a gradual normalization.
