The fifth edition of Play Azur Festival will open its doors this weekend, next May 14 and 15, in the Nice Acropolis Convention Center for the last time, since the latter should be destroyed by the end of the year. During these two days, the program announces more than 300 activities which mix pop culture, manga, cosplay, comics, science fiction, medieval theme, video games, K-Pop, science and new technologies through workshops, demonstrations, contests, games, tournaments, meetings, conferences and dedications with many guests (YouTubersvoice actors, illustrators, cosplayers…).
With its two floors, the Play Azur Festival 2022 will be divided into several areas: Harry Pottervideo games, e-sports, steampunkmedieval art, Japanese culture, videographers, conferences and dedications. As for the guests, there will be, without being exhaustive, the dubbing actors Adrien Antoine and Christophe Lemoine, the actor Jean-Robert Lombard (Father Blaise in Kamelott), the YouTubers Tokyo NoJo, benzaie and Made in France ASMRthe designer Nadou (The Legendaries – Origins) and Sabine from This is not rocket science. Video games will be in the spotlight with no less than seven tournaments and 3 challenges each day: Valorant, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Tekken 7, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Windjammers 2, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Rocket League, Fortnite, SoulCalibur VI, Street Fighter V and Guilty Gear: Strive. On the entertainment side, there will be an area Star Wars (cinema, cosplay and show) with the 501and legion from Monacothe Light Saber Company and the Guardians Cannesgiant karaoke (One Piece, dragonball, naruto, L’attack on titan…) organized by TamaTama in a 700-seat amphitheater, a cosplay contest (solo, group and South region selection for the French Cosplay Cup Season 5) organized by Yumeji, the Ghostbusters French Rivierathe Jeep of Jurassic Park, the ladybug ChoupetteIrina (just dance), dinosaurs (Jurassic Experience), a contest Dance Cover Kpopan exhibition Harry Potter with an animation Flying broom (photo call on a green background), the Malvan Medieval Archers and many other things you can discover on the official site here. Our 70 m² virtual reality booth will be on the second floor where there will be a dozen headsets VR. We will give you the program and the exact content by tomorrow, in a dedicated article. Know, while waiting to know more, thatthere will be our driving simulator on cylinders and above all, exclusively, the haptic jacket skinetic which allows you to “feel” what is happening in virtual reality and whose commercial release is scheduled for 2023.

Pre-sales passes are available until Friday May 13 at 11:00 p.m. and allow entry into the show from 9:30 a.m. on both days. For latecomers, on-site ticket sales will be available from 10:00 a.m.
