It will be possible to experiment with various “Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality” animations on our two specially dedicated stands. Planned activities include a simulation area equipped with a jack-up car simulator and a kayak, a “Haptic Vest” area with the skineticas well as an area Space Ops ” which is a laser game virtual in mixed reality and free roaming (actual displacements). There will also be a “discovery and games” area with several helmets VR to transport you to the metaverse and one PlayStation VR2 will also be available.
Here is what you can discover or rediscover:
- “Simulation” area:
The simulation space will allow you to stage yourself in kayak simulators as well as jack-up car simulators. These simulators will make you feel the accelerations, the brakings, the shocks as well as the vibrations of the engine. A PlayStation VR 2 will be there.
- Space “Haptic Jackets”:
The virtual reality space also means being able to feel what is happening. For this, jackets with haptic feedback will be available, including the French Skinetic jacket which is not yet accessible to the general public.
- Discovery and games area:
Several VR headsets will be at your disposal to discover the metaverse through games or multimedia content.
- “Spatial Ops” area:
By putting on a virtual reality headset, players dive into an urban battlefield, our stand, where reality and virtuality will mingle. Playable in Free For All (everyone for himself) or as a team for Capture the Flag (capture of the flag) or Domination (up to three spaces to keep as long as possible during a game), you have to physically move to the within the map – just like you would in a real game of paintball – to hit opponents, hide behind walls or objects in order to survive and win the game. What’s great here is that you don’t fight against avatars, but rather with the other players who actually appear in the virtual world (principle of mixed reality). We can accommodate up to 6 or even 8 players at the same time.
The festival PlayAzur 2023 will take place at the Palais des Expositions in Nice on May 6th and 7th, and will open its doors from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday (entrance at 9:30 a.m. for presales).
