The favorites came out on top in the playoff quarter-finals of the Women’s Super League. Things remain exciting between GC and YB.
In the playoff quarter-finals of the Women’s Super League, Zurich and Servette presented on foreign territory. The Zurich women win against Lucerne 2-0, the Geneva women defeat Aarau 4-0. The Swiss champions from Zurich could thank their Austrian striker Viktoria Pinther, who made the difference with her goals in the 18th and 83rd minutes.
Servette, the best team in the qualification, gave the local Aarau women no chance and made things clear early on with three goals between the 6th and 35th minutes. The two title favorites thus created a good starting position for the second leg, which they will play in front of their home crowd on Saturday, May 4th.
On this day the decision will also be made between the Young Boys and the Grasshoppers. In the third quarter-final first leg on Saturday, the Bernese team fought to a 1-1 draw away from home.
