You probably updated your PS5 recently. And among the new features offered, we find a certain “Community game help”.

Since its launch in 2020, the PS5 has offered a function called “Game Help”. The latter provides access to advice and/or tips to progress more easily in a level. You can also use the function to find treasure, or to access a Trophy more easily.

Game Help on PS5 becomes community-based

With its new “Community Game Help” function, Sony is evolving the classic Game Help, by appealing directly to players. Indeed, over the weeks, the library of useful tips will be enriched with videos automatically generated from gameplays of players who have chosen to make their contribution.

Remember that to use the Game Help, simply press the PS key to open the Control Center, and look for an action card displaying the “Clues” icon. From then on, we benefit from video advice developed by the developers themselves.

How it works ?

From now on, each player is invited to contribute to the Game Help. To do this, they must activate their participation by going to Captures and broadcasts > Captures > Automatic Captures > Community Game Help, then click on Participate.

From then on, the PS5 will automatically capture a video when you perform a specific activity in a game. Subsequently, if it is approved by a moderator, it will be published as Game Aid and will be visible to other players.

Currently only games Granblue Fantasy: Relink and the very recent Stellar Blade are compatible with these new community supports offered by the PlayStation gaming community. Obviously, this new feature concerns both the “Fat” PS5 and the “Slim” models launched at the end of last year.

Sony PlayStation 5 Slim

  • A more compact, lighter PS5
  • Repositioning the Eject button
  • A 1 TB SSD (822 GB of available space out of the box)

In the absence of a “real” Slim console (like the PSOne or the PS2 Slim in their time), Sony’s new PS5 nevertheless offers a reduced size and weight, with power that remains unchanged. It also includes some welcome optimizations, such as two USB-C ports on the front, a 1 TB SSD or even a (finally!) repositioned Eject button.

We can once again criticize it for packaging unworthy of the €549 required for its purchase, but also for a questionable choice of design, with this quartet of matte and glossy panels, without forgetting a horizontal support, very stable certainly, but which also looks very cheap.

Ultimately, the PS5 Slim will replace the standard PS5 in stores. At the end of 2023, players are free to opt for this new model sold at a high price, or on the contrary to take advantage of the numerous promotions concerning the classic model, to finally treat themselves to the PS5 at a suitable price (400/ 450 €), knowing that the two versions offer a completely similar gaming experience and comfort.
