Will there be the new consoles again for Christmas?

One of the new consoles would be a huge delight for consumers this Christmas, but it will be difficult to get hold of.
Microsoft and Sony have only recently ushered in the new generation of consoles. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 should be at the top of the wish lists of gamers and technology freaks this year. However, it will be difficult for many consumers to grant their loved ones this wish.
Both the Xbox Series X and its smaller sister, the Xbox Series S, are out of print in many places. And it is no different with the PS5. Even with large retailers such as Amazon, Saturn, Media Markt, Otto or GameStop, most of the time there is no or only limited option to order the consoles.
Demand significantly higher than existing
After the release of their consoles, Sony and Microsoft each talked about the biggest launch that they had ever seen. Xbox boss Phil Spencer (52) wrote on Twitterthat Microsoft has never sold so many consoles in one day. The official PlayStation account also spoke about it on Twitterthat the demand is "unprecedented". Spencer stated that Microsoft wanted to provide supplies "as soon as possible". Sony also confirmed for Germanythat "before the end of the year" new batches should be delivered to dealers.
At the moment, however, the only option is often to look out for devices offered by private individuals on portals such as eBay or the like. However, since they know the situation themselves, attempts are made again and again to sell the devices at horrendous prices. According to media reports, fraud has already increased. So consumers should be very careful here.
As an alternative, depending on your budget, it might be a good idea to give players a current game for a platform they have used so far and to include some money or a voucher. So the recipient can order a console themselves as soon as the opportunity arises again. The game "Cyberpunk 2077" (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia – later also Xbox Series X / S and PS5), which will be released on December 10th, is one of the most anticipated games of the year for many.
