Sony is said to be already working on the PlayStation 6 and Microsoft is said to be working on the next Xbox. However, a leaker now suggests that one console will appear later than the other.

However, Microsoft’s next Xbox could appear later than Sony’s PS6, suggests leaker Moore’s Law is Dead on his YouTube channel.
Sony has already signed contracts for future hardware with AMD and Microsoft has not yet. “Moore’s Law is Dead” is currently “shopping” at Intel and Nvidia.
While the PlayStation 6 is already well into development, Microsoft is said to be “lagging behind” and a later release is therefore possible. In an official document, the Redmond company assumed a PS6 release in 2027 to 2028.
Within the PS6 generation, Sony could offer a handheld version that is backwards compatible with many PlayStation games and runs at a lower resolution than the stationary PS6 model.

But consider this leaker’s perspective as a rumor, because neither Sony nor Microsoft have announced any new consoles. You’ll have to be patient for a few more years.
