Since the PS3 game emulation is not yet fully ready for the new PS Plus and the blinds of the PS3 and some PSP are gradually beginning to close their doors, many players are worried that part of the catalog will disappear in the next few years. So when some games start showing completely illogical expiration dates on some stores, many hope it’s more of a bug than a scheduled disappearance of some titles.
A desired expiration, or a simple bug?

Kotaku has indeed put forward reports of Internet users pointing the finger a sudden expiration date for the PS1 version of Chronocrossat least on the PS3 and PSP store. This expiry date concerns the December 31, 1969, which appears to be a bug at first glance, but multiple reports of the same thing since this weekend, whether the game is already purchased or not. According to the site, the same thing is happening to versions of Final Fantasy 6, Rune Factory: Oceans and others.
For the moment, we know that this expiration date goes away when the victims of this “bug” renew their subscription to PS Plus. It could therefore be a simple technical problem.
Sony hasn’t spoken about it yet, and it’s unclear whether it’s intentional or not, especially seeing that it’s coming to the release of Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition. But since we should not draw hasty conclusions, we will wait for an official statement from Sony on this subject.
