PlayStation Plus: a surprise Resident Evil in the Classics Catalog in North America

The new formulas of Playstation Plus gradually land around the world, with a few surprises each time. the line up of the games included in the various offers has thus shown itself to be even richer in Asia than what Sony Interactive Entertainment promised, and it turns out he’s still a little different for his arrival in America this day.

Subscribers have notably discovered in the Catalog of Classicsformula offer Premium giving access to a selection of retro games suitable for PS4 and PS5, a certain Resident Evil Director’s Cut, which had not yet been announced. This port of the “uncensored” version comes with a few improvements, including rewind, video filters and graphics optimizations. The accompanying list of retro games is otherwise the same, with releases NTSC at 60Hzgood news for American players, while Asian players seem to have inherited the editions PAL in 50Hz.

Experience Resident Evil Director’s Cut, originally released on the PlayStation console, has been enhanced with superior rendering, rewind, fast save and custom video filters.

The Racoon City Police Department’s investigation into a bizarre series of murders takes a turn when the elite STARS team find themselves trapped in a house of horrors deep in the Arklay Mountains. Explore a ruined mansion filled with cruel beasts, deadly traps and unsolved mysteries. Can you survive?

This title has been converted from the PlayStation version to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles and offers new functions. Therefore, it may happen that the game is different from the PlayStation version, or that some functions do not work properly. This version does not support PlayStation console devices, therefore some features may not be available.

It’s not on the agenda yet, but like other PlayStation games, Resident Evil Director’s Cut could also be sold alone without obligation to subscribe to the PS+ in the future. We already hope that it is integrated into the Catalog of Classics at the launch of the new Playstation Plus in Europe on June 22. Until then, you can still subscribe to the PlayStation Plus Essential for €59.99 per year.
