Indeed, Sony will launch a brand new service, the result of the merger between the current PS Plus and the Playstation Now, the cloud service manufacturer gaming. From now on, users will have the choice between three different formulas, the prices of which range between €8.99 and €16.99 per month for the most expensive.

The Playstation Plus Premium, therefore offered at € 16.99 per month, will offer various advantages such as the possibility of enjoying 400 PS4 and PS5 games from the Playstation Studios catalog and third-party partner studios. Backwards compatibility will also be in the spotlightsince subscribers will also be able to play more than 340 titles from the PS3, PS2, PS1 and PSP catalogs.

Sony has yet to reveal the exact list of retro games available at launch. Tekken 2 and Ridge Racer 2 offered to PS Plus Premium subscribers?

However, Reddit user the_Andshrew found images and references to several PS1 and PSP games on the Playstation Network servers. Which suggests that Sony is currently adding the retro titles to these servers.. Logical, since subscribers will be able to access them either via the cloud or by downloading them directly to their PS4 or PS5 console. Here are the details of the five games identified by the Internet user:

  • Mr Driller (PS1)
  • Tekken 2 (PS1)
  • Ridge Racer 2 (PSP)
  • Worms World Party
  • Worms Armageddon

Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, for lack of official confirmation from Sony. As a reminder, subscribers to Playstation Plus Premium will be able to try future PS5 games for a minimum of two hours. Sony has changed its policy to compel developers to provide playable demos to subscribers, however under certain conditions.
