PlayStation surprises the web with a DualSense version 2 controller

It was first on the site of the North American retail giant Best Buy that the new official controller for PS5 appeared. So it didn’t take long for the web to amplify the news: PlayStation is launching a DualSense V2. However, in the absence of official communication on this subject from the manufacturer, we had to make do with the data provided by e-commerce sites.

According to them, the new arrival would be a little smaller – be careful, this information is subject to doubt – and would have a more efficient battery for increased autonomy. Other than that (remember, with a lot of doubt about the actual size of the V2 controller), there seems to be no difference between the DualSense and the DualSense V2. We would then find the movement sensors, the touch zone, the triggers with haptic feedback, etc.

However, Sony could have taken the opportunity to make other modifications to its device. We are thinking in particular of Hall effect sticks, technology based on electromagnetism which makes it possible to avoid friction with a drift effect causing involuntary movements in game. Perhaps the PlayStation brand will reassure us on this subject in a future press release , explaining its choice to market a second version of this flagship device.

The DualSense V2 is available in France in white, midnight black, cosmic red, gray camo, nova pink, galactic purple, starlight blue. It’s a safe bet that the other dresses (volcanic red, cobalt blue and sterling silver) will be available in the future.

Obviously, we will not fail to come back to this DualSense V2 if PlayStation decides to provide more information about it.
