The plug-in hybrid market, or plugin in English, came to a halt in April 2022 with just 10,267 registrations. Whether it is the petrol (-6.8%) or diesel (-27%) versions, the sector has been losing momentum since the start of the year with a general drop of 26.8% compared to 2021.

In terms of ranking, the Stellantis group (ex-PSA, Opel and Fiat Chrysler) is well positioned with six cars (two Peugeots, two Citroëns and two DS) in the top 20. In first place, we find the inevitable Peugeot 3008 Hybrid (1037 registrations) while 3rd place goes to the Citroën C5 Aircross (478 registrations).

Between the two, and this is a surprise, the MG EHS and its 696 registrations occupy the second step of the top 20. For the record, in April 2021, MG sold 95 vehicles. In April 2022, with 1085 cars, it recorded an increase of 1042%.

It should be noted that 14th place is occupied by Lynk&Co 01 (225 units) whose initial economic model was monthly rental without commitment. However, it is not forbidden to buy the vehicle in cash.
