He was known for his iconic role as Kevin Belesta in More beautiful life. This Tuesday, April 16, actor Théo Bertrand spoke on Instagram, revealing a heartbreaking turnaround in his professional career, which moved many fans. In a publication charged with emotion, the 27-year-old actor explained how he discovered his ouster from the return of the flagship series of France 3, now broadcast on TF1. “May 2022: I learn in the newspapers that I am fired from a series after ten years of service. May 2023: I am asked to return to the series. Then I am removed from the casting without telling me”he wrote, then emphasizing the disappointment that this caused, especially for his mother.

In his story, Théo Bertrand does not hide his suffering at having had to call production back to learn that he was no longer part of the project. “I experienced this as a betrayal”he confided, adding that at that time, he was “depression due to personal problems”and that he thought “that this event would have finished [l]’finish”.

After hitting rock bottom, the actor set about rebuilding himself, working multiple jobs, from waiter to landscaper. His determination ultimately led him to an extraordinary adventure: making “around the world by hitchhiking boat”. A way for him to forgive. “Please know that I still have a lot of friends in series whom I love very much, I am happy for them and I support them very much. Besides, they too were sad and fought for my return. I blame no one, that’s how it is”he concluded.
