Rififi within More beautiful life. And yet, the series has never been better. Since Monday January 8, 2024, she has been back on TF1 to the delight of fans. In May 2022, production announced that the series was going to end at the end of the year and this decision caused a lot of talk. Actors and viewers expressed their immense anger on social networks. But that was without counting on the front page. The channel has recovered the broadcasting and production rights and is therefore offering the return of the Mistral. And while some thought that the blow was well and truly over, the audiences were a hit with more than 3 million viewers every midday. A return with great fanfare for the series which proves that, 18 years later, it is still as relevant as ever. And Friday January 26, 2024, she is in the news once again, but for a much darker reason. One of its actors, Kjel Bennett, who played Bilal, posted a new photo on his account Instagram to announce that he was filing a complaint against an actress in the series – whom he does not name – for acts of assault.

Kjel Bennett: “My silence is only respect for justice and its smooth running”

The latter would have occurred in September 2021 and according to the statements of his lawyer whose press release he reveals, Kjel Bennett would have been “victim of a violent attack and physical attack by this actress, in the corridors of the hotel where they were staying. The actor reportedly alerted production several times, to no avail. The members would then “tried to cover up the matter by settling it internally.” As a reminder, on June 7, 2022, he was excluded from the series and in a press release, the production reported “unacceptable behavior” from the actor. Of the “defamatory accusations against him” which he tries to highlight by filing a complaint against the production, but also against the actress. In another press release, which is his own and which he published on his social networksKjel Bennett explains that he will write a book once justice has done its job to reveal its own truth: “I will reveal everything in the most intimate details at that time, but not before. My silence is only respect for justice and its smooth running”.
