Plus belle la vie (spoilers): Is Vanessa the arsonist?

In the episode of More beautiful life from Friday, September 9, 2022, Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) and Gabriel (Joakim Latzko) are still angry with Lola (Marie Mallia) for having lied to them about her solo hike. The teenager does not regret anything. She needed to isolate herself for her mental well-being. She now feels much better and has even forgiven Noé (Florian Lesieur) and Betty (Horya Benabet) for having betrayed her. Anyway, Thomas and Gabriel decide to punish her and deprive her of going out until Christmas. Lola finds the punishment too severe but decides to comply. She even agrees to take Kilian’s (Tim Rousseau) punishment in addition to her own, to thank him for lying for her. Moreover, she promises Thomas to do everything to regain his confidence. She realizes how much he and Gabriel do for them. Touched, Thomas agrees to let her see Sunalee (Alixe Guidoni) the same evening. At nightfall, Lola sees the wolf pass below her window…

At the Zéphyr, Mirta (Sylvie Flepp) receives a visit from Luc (Guillaume Laloux) and once again shares her doubts about their relationship. She fears that she got attached to him for the wrong reasons after discovering his illness. Luc doesn’t believe it for a second. He then receives a call from the hospital. José, a former sexton, is dying and asks to see him. Luc rushes to her bedside to give her the last rites. Seeing him do this, Mirta is upset. She realizes how much Luke is made for the priesthood. She decides to end their relationship, no matter how wonderful it was. After saying goodbye to Luc, Mirta goes to see Gabriel and confesses to having lied to him. Her breast tumor is malignant, but she preferred to stay in denial. Understanding, Gabriel agrees to listen to him and tells him that he will surely have to operate.

Emma makes a surprising discovery

Back at the shed, Vanessa knocks her father out with the butt of her gun and yells at Romain (Simon Ehrlacher) to tie up. The young doctor tries to reason with her, but the young woman, locked in her madness, leaves him no choice. At the police station, Patrick (Jérôme Bertin) begins to doubt Jourdan’s guilt. He wonders if the guru is pretending to be the arsonist out of jealousy for not lighting the fires himself.

Hidden behind a tree, Emma (Pauline Bression) observes Baptiste (Bryan Trésor) and Justine (Maelli Kervoelen) playing football with Mathis. Suddenly, the little boy starts coughing. The air is difficult to breathe because of the fires. Moreover, the prefect has just declared a state of emergency. In the Mistral, many customers leave the Zéphyr for fear of the flames that surround the city. Barbara (Léa François), she closes the terrace of the Marci as a precaution. At the bar, she talks with Emma when Sylvia (Roxane Turmel) comes to talk to her about Romain and Vanessa’s wedding. The young woman shows several photos of the couple to Emma. On one of them, Emma notices a pile of abalone shells… Could Vanessa be the arsonist?
