In the episode of More beautiful life Thursday, September 15, 2022, torrential rain extinguished the fires. After escaping Vanessa, Romain (Simon Ehrlacher) meets Emma (Pauline Bression) and Baptiste (Bryan Trésor) on the road. He borrows their mobile phone to call the police, and tells them that the unconscious young woman in the wrecked car is none other than the arsonist from Marseille. He then gets into the car, not without expressing concern for Emma, who inhaled a lot of smoke when she was trapped in the flames. Emma, however, feels fine. Very well, even, now that she has found Baptiste.
Back at the Mistral, Emma and Baptiste kiss on the Place du Mistral when Justine (Maelli Kervoelen) surprises them. Baptiste hurries to speak to him and gives him explanations. If he chose to save Emma, it’s because he knew that Bizet could take care of Justine. Justine doesn’t believe it for a single second and asks him one thing: if the roles had been reversed and she herself had been alone facing the flames, would he have chosen her instead of Emma? Angry, Justine reproaches him for having gone elsewhere to save her marriage and disappears. At the end of the day, Baptiste moves back to the studio for good with Emma and their son, Mathis.
Vanessa is arrested, prisoners escape
Sent to the scene of the accident, Patrick (Jérôme Bertin) and Ariane (Lola Marois) challenge Vanessa. EIn the interrogation room, the young woman confirms to be the arsonist of Marseille. She explains that she started the fires in places where the telluric forces are the most powerful. Patrick instead thinks that Vanessa selected the locations of the fires based on her memories of her mother. Indeed, according to her father, the first fire was started where Vanessa’s mother had a heart attack. The second, in a place where her mother took her for picnics when she was little. Vanessa denies wanting to erase her mother’s memories and simply claims to have “wielded fire to purify the earthLocked in her madness, she even comes to the point of asking Nebout to thank her and sends him to call Romain to give him some news. The interrogation over, Patrick finds Revel (Grégory Questel) behind the glass without complexion. In view of Vanessa’s psychiatric state, she will have to pass an expertise to determine whether she is criminally responsible or not.
At the hospital, Éric (Régis Maynard) asks Simon (Julien Ellenrieder) questions to exercise his memory. To his relief, the farmer remembers almost everything. Besides, all the news is good. In the visiting room, Céline Frémont (Rebecca Hampton) announces to Agathe Robin (Valérie Baurens) that she is going to be transferred to a prison establishment in the north of France. His appeal trial will therefore take place in Lille. Agathe is upset. She is convinced that she has no chance of winning. At his first trial, the jurors did not uphold self-defense. Céline advises him to call on character witnesses, such as Léo Castelli (Pierre Martot), Mirta (Sylvie Flepp) or his son, Maxime (Julien Oliveri).
Jean-Paul charges Kévin (Théo Bertrand) with the transfer of Djawad Sangha (David Baiot), Andrès Galeano alias Pavel (Laurent Hennequin), Dr. Livia (Philippe Granarol)Stan Lorraine (Cyril Durel) and Agatha Robin. On the way, the van has an accident with another vehicle. The police oblivious, Pavel gets up to flee.
