While 2022 promises to be eventful for the heroes of Plus belle la vie, with the continuation of the ark around the redemption of the Céleste which still promises us many twists and turns, the year which has just passed has also brought its share unforgettable moments which marked the life of the inhabitants of the Mistral.

Between the rape of Patrick Nebout and the death in the most total indifference of Caesar, the incredible summer saga and the prime Black-out, return on the most striking moments of 2021 in Plus belle la vie.

The rape of Patrick Nebout

FTV

During the month of April 2021, More beautiful life devoted a strong societal intrigue to the theme of sexual violence against men, by featuring Commander Nebout (Jérôme Bertin) a victim of rape at gunpoint during a police investigation. Traumatized by this event, he will be unable to tell his loved ones about it and enter a self-destructive spiral.

Very invested in the subject, its interpreter, Jérôme Bertin, worked with associations of victims to realistically transcribe this trauma, and reflect as accurately as possible this still taboo subject of society, in order to help the voices of victims. victims to break free. A shocking plot, which earned the soap opera an intervention by the CSA after the broadcast of the sequence of the aggression of Patrick Nebout.

Serial departures

FTV

Since the start of the school year, the departures of several characters have been linked in the Marseille soap opera, to the dismay of the fans. If the public had to say goodbye to Samia in October 2020, following Fabienne Carat’s decision to bid farewell to the series after fifteen years on the air, no less than four actors have left More Beautiful life in the space of a few months.

Cesat first of all, played by Grant Lawrens since 2014, suffered a tragic fate when serial killer Jacob returned to the Mistral. Alison then, played by Myra Tyliann since 2016, decided to leave Marseille for good after believing that her companion Abdel, held captive and having to work undercover to infiltrate a jihadist network, was dead.

Then it is the actress Marine Danaux, arrived in the series in 2020 as Sophie Corcel with her two children, Kylian and Lola, from a hidden relationship with Roland, who announced his departure from the series. An exit through the back door since his character, unpopular with the public, has simply disappeared from the series.

Finally, Avy Marciano, who plays the role of reporter Sacha Malkavian in the series since 2010, announced his decision to leave Plus Belle la vie in early December. The reason ? The writers haven’t developed his character enough over the years.

Arrivals of Bilal (Kjel Bennett), Nisma (Ella Philippe), Kylian (Tim rousseau) , Lola (Marie mallia) and Betty (Horya Benabet) in high school during the last return to school, and more recently of a new family at the Mistral having a link with Luna will they manage to make fans forget these historical characters?

An incredible summer saga

FTV

Since its creation in 2004, Plus Belle la vie has regularly broadcast bonuses during evening events to punctuate its intrigues. But she had never yet proposed a summer saga, a first in 2021, to spice up the broadcast of the daily during the summer season.

Bringing together Celine (Rebecca hampton), Laetitia (Caroline Riou), Valentine (David ban), Fanny (Prudence Leroy), Romain (Simon ehrlacher), Bilal (Kjel Bennett) and Rochat (Charles Schneider), this saga inaugurated with a special episode plunged the group of characters, gathered aboard a sailboat for an ecological cruise, in a terrible shipwreck before seeing them beach on a mysterious island.

Between ghostly appearances and traps of all kinds, the heroes of everyday life had to fight every evening for their survival in a hostile territory, and not as uninhabited as they thought. An adventure worthy of an episode of Koh-Lanta, in which we discovered secrets belonging to Fanny’s past, but also to the birth of a beautiful bond between Doctor Vidal and the young waitress.

The spectators were also treated to incredible twists and turns, such as the flashback between Laetitia and Valentin, but also the appearance of a wild man (Léo Romain) belonging to a group of threatening survivalists, led by an enigmatic leader played by Anthony Dupray, nicknamed … Le Grand Cornu. One thing is certain, you never get bored in Plus Belle la vie!

The romance between Romain Vidal and Adriana Karembeu

FTV

When you mix Coup de Foudre à Notting Hill with the Marseille soap opera, what do you get? A tasty intrigue between the irresistible Doctor Vidal (Simon Ehrlacher) and Adriana Karembeu, who came to play her own role in a romantic intrigue last November.

Taking the frame of the famous British romcom, the series has integrated the top model and host in the series by making her cross the road of Romain Vidal during a photo shoot. Little interested in the stars, he fell in love with the model, ignoring everything about her identity and the fact that she is a national celebrity.

A love story inevitably turned upside down by the paparazzi and the culture shock between their two worlds, but also by the close proximity between Romain and Fanny (Prudence Leroy) to the point of compromising the future of their relationship. But Adriana Karembeu has not said her last word, since the actress, delighted with her experience, would very much like to come back in Plus Belle la vie for a next plot with very specific ideas in mind

The death of Caesar

The end of summer was eventful for the inhabitants of the Mistral! Jacob, the serial killer who kidnapped Emma’s sister, claimed victims again, and this time he took on one of the show’s iconic actors. While Caesar (Grant lawrens) tried to blackmail him, and force him to kill Baptiste in order to finally conquer Emma’s heart, his plan turned against him … Jacob indeed decided to kill his blackmailer, making him disappear by the same occasion all the evidence against him.

If the fans expected a heartbreaking farewell between Caesar and his loved ones, they were very disappointed to see that once again, the writers decided to pass over his death in silence, the character having announced to his relatives his departure to the Canada…

A death which is therefore not unlike that of Samia, who, like Caesar, had disappeared in the most total indifference, the fans and the characters not learning until several months after her death in a car accident in Paris. Morocco. Are the writers sorely lacking in inspiration to explain the departure of some of their actors?

One thing is certain, Caesar is not ready to get the farewell he deserves, Jacob and Camille having completely disappeared from the intrigues for several months. How will Barbara, Emma, Rochat, and the inhabitants of the Mistral react when they learn of Caesar’s death? And above all, how are they going to find out that he was murdered? Answer, hopefully in the next few months.

The Black-out

Jean-Louis PARIS – FTV – TELFRANCE

After more than a year without Prime, the month of December was marked by an event episode which saw the Mistral be plunged into a general Blackout. 9 months pregnant, Léa (Marie Hennerez), accompanied by Betty, Noé and Bilal, was trying to reach Marseille before giving birth to her little girl.

For his part, Jean-Paul Boher (Stéphane Henon), who had to manage the chaos caused by the power cut, was trying by all means to join her. Finally, the Mistralians carried by Luna’s optimism had organized themselves to come to the aid of people in need.

This exceptional bonus had therefore seen the birth of little Aurore, in a barn. If both parents were happy, they quickly realized that their baby had a health problem. But how do you operate without electricity?

In the episodes that followed the bounty, Boher tried to mobilize as many people as possible in order to save his daughter’s life. Luckily, little Aurore made it out without any consequences… A real miracle!

Synchronized pregnancies

We know that getting pregnant is not easy for some women… but we have to believe that this is not a problem in Plus belle la vie since it is not one but two characters who got pregnant by surprise! Lea and her mother Babeth (Marie Réache) have indeed learned this year that they will be mothers (and grandmother).

The first, lesbian since arriving in the series, slept once with Jean-Paul Boher. And bam: she got pregnant. Lea then decided to keep the baby and, one thing leading to another, fell in love with the policeman.

For Babeth, the pregnancy was also a surprise, but the pill was more difficult to swallow. As she expected to be in menopause, she found out that she was actually several months pregnant. A news which, at 50, did not please her much, unlike Patrick (Jerome Bertin), her husband, who would finally be able to discover the joys of fatherhood.

After a difficult start to the pregnancy, Babeth had come to terms with the situation and is now the mother of a little Raphael. Unfortunately, the year 2022 will not be easy for the new little family since the baby has been exchanged at the maternity hospital… How will they find out? Answer in the next episodes.

The biggest inconsistencies

Olivier MARTINO – FTV – TELFRANCE

It is sometimes complicated for the writers of the daily soap opera to follow all the intrigues started over the years, even more for Plus belle la vie which has been on the air for 17 years! If they sometimes make mistakes, the year 2021 has seen more than normal.

And it started in February with the arrival of the character of Fanny (Prudence Leroy), new waitress of Marcy, who would have maintained a relationship with Caesar two years ago. However, at the time, the young man had eyes only for Emma. A character who was a few months later was at the heart of a new inconsistency as she is said to have many brothers who magically disappeared around the time of the Summer Saga.

The other big mistake, which this time took place last December, concerns Noé Ruiz (Florian Lesieur) and Roland Marci (Michel Cordes). As the teenager crossed the path of the octogenarian, he gave him a “Hello sir”, as if he did not know him. However, the son of Blanche and Franck has always considered the former boss of the bar as his grandfather at heart … It was therefore very strange for the fans to see him address him as a stranger.

All these scriptwriting inconsistencies have therefore not failed to annoy viewers of the daily soap opera who hope that the writers will rectify the situation in the next episodes.
