Currently in the credits of the series “Irrésistible” on Disney+, will Simon Ehrlacher reprise his role of Doctor Romain Vidal in the new version of “Plus belle la vie” which will arrive in early 2024 on TF1? We asked him the question.
Recurring character in the last seasons of Plus belle la vie, Doctor Romain Vidal, played by Simon Ehrlacher, will he be present in the new version of the soap opera which will begin filming next month in Marseille for a broadcast a priori planned from from January 2024 on TF1?
After the end of the cult soap opera in November 2022 on France 3, after eighteen years on the air, TF1 has in fact decided to relaunch Plus belle la vie, which will thus join Tomorrow belongs to us and Here it all begins within the front page grid.
This “sequel” should introduce new characters and new families, but will obviously see the return of many emblematic figures of the Mistral, including Sylvie Flepp (Mirta), Léa François (Barbara), Stéphane Hénon (Jean-Paul), Cécilia Hornus (Blanche ), Laurent Kérusoré (Thomas) and Marie Réache (Babeth), who recently made big revelations about this version made in TF1 of Plus belle la vie.
Romain’s return is “not planned for the moment”
But then, what about Simon Ehrlacher? “For the moment, this is not planned a priori”explained the main person involved in the promotion of Irrésistible. “As I have a lot of other series coming, I don’t know. But why not. I don’t know what they have planned. I also want to see the format of this new version, to see how will it evolve?.
But one thing is certain, Simon Ehrlacher is not completely closing the door to a possible return of his character in Plus belle la vie un jour: “It’s a house that really helped me. So we’ll see. But I’m delighted that the series is coming back. So much the better. For everyone, for all the actors, for the whole community who loves Plus belle la vie , it’s a beautiful gift.”.

Irresistible, Cat’s Eyes… A busy series year for Simon Ehrlacher
You will have understood, we will obviously have to do without Romain Vidal when Plus belle la vie returns to the air in a few months on TF1. But fans of Simon Ehrlacher can find him today, alongside Camélia Jordana, Théo Navarro-Mussy (Hippocrates), Corentin Fila (Mortel) and Marion Seclin (Clem), in the romantic comedy Irrésistible on the Disney+ platform.
The story of the complicated love at first sight between Arthur, a mathematician, and Adèle, a podcast creator who suffers from post-traumatic stress because of her previous relationship and begins to feel unwell as soon as she is in Arthur’s presence . Simon Ehrlacher plays Laurent, a firefighter who lives near Adèle’s podcast studio and will find himself linked to this whole story. And Irrésistible is not the only series which will soon allow the public to find the actor revealed by Coeur Océan.
By the end of the year, Simon Ehrlacher will play one of the main roles in the searing comedy Escort Boys on Prime Video, in which he co-stars with Guillaume Labbé (I promise you), Thibaud Evrard (Paris Police 1900 ) and Corentin Fila (him again!).
And as we announced to you exclusively a few days ago, he will also be part of the cast of the TF1 series Cat’s Eyes, adapted from the cult cartoon. He will play the boyfriend of Sylia, played by Constance Labbé, and will also opposite Camille Lou, Claire Romain and Mohamed Belkhir (aka MB14) who complete the cast. In short, Simon Ehrlacher’s schedule is full.
