A roebuck fell victim to a hitherto unknown poacher in the Völkermarkt district. The animal was found mutilated on a private estate. The police investigation is ongoing.
On Tuesday evening around 6.10 p.m., a 32-year-old farmer from Völkermarkt notified the police that he had found a dead roebuck on his property in Ebriach. “The buck, which weighs around 12 kilos, was probably shot by a previously unknown perpetrator the night before,” the police said. The animal’s head and left shoulder were severed.
The investigation into the perpetrator is ongoing.
