Just recently, RTL confirmed that comedian Oliver Pocher (43) and his wife Amira (28) are not doing their late night show “Pocher – dangerously honest!” will return. The two apparently take the end of the format calmly. “This week it was also announced that our late-night is history,” says the 28-year-old in the latest edition of the joint podcast “Die Pochers hier!”, which was recorded live in front of 1,000 people in Hanover.
The comedian explains: “This is a decision that we made some time ago, which we regret because, thanks to you guys, it was actually a very successful show.” His wife replied: “I didn’t really expect us to continue. It was such a spontaneous program.” Everything started with four episodes, in the end there were 36.
Late night shows are currently no longer “popular”
The 43-year-old goes on to say that the station is currently “being restructured a bit”. Late night shows are “currently not so popular on RTL”. He does not want to “anticipate the content completely, but we have promised you that we will go back on the air and do something. We will go back on the air”.
