While some people are still debating whether the gender pay gap really exists (no, dear experts, not all women are just as good at negotiating salaries as men are), a new study shows that it is already in of one’s own family: Statistically speaking, daughters receive significantly less pocket money from their parents than sons.

The study shows that girls in the age group from four to 13 years are clearly disadvantaged. After all, when looking at whether there is generally pocket money for the family’s children, they are on average a little better off than the boys.
