Poco F5: leaks suggest an ambitious technical sheet

A subsidiary of Xiaomi, the Poco brand offers particularly high-performance smartphones at tight prices. With the Poco F5, the firm intends to continue this momentum. In any case, this is what the information obtained by the Xiaomiui site, which spotted the new model in the Xiaomi database, suggests.

We discover that the mobile bears the code name Mondrian and appears under the model number 23011PC75G. The latter is not trivial since 2301 indicates that it could be released from January 2023. The letter G stands for Global, which implies that it should be marketed in our territory.

An even more advanced technical sheet

The information regarding the data sheet suggests a mobile even more ambitious than usual. According to the site, the smartphone would be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the most powerful chip from Qualcomm at the moment. It is also found in the Xiaomi 12T Pro, which was recently presented by the Chinese giant.

The user should also enjoy a beautiful screen since the Poco F5 would offer a panel displaying in 2K (1220 x 3200 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The icing on the cake, the maximum brightness could reach 1000 nits . However, this remains to be verified, as the differences are sometimes significant once the measurements have been taken.

In photo, little information is available to date. We imagine that the brand will save money on this point if it wants to stay within its usual price list. We suspect a configuration more or less similar to that of the F4 which, as a reminder, had a fairly average 64 Mpx main module.
