Podcast. “Green” finance: the great deception

“Climate”, “low carbon”, “planet” funds… In recent years, “green” investments have exploded. On paper, the promise is good: invest in a portfolio of companies promoting the energy transition, while ensuring good income. But in fact, a large proportion of “green” investment funds invest in very polluting companies – sometimes even in the world’s biggest emitters of greenhouse gases.

This is the conclusion of a collaborative survey conducted by a dozen European media, including Investico, Follow the Money and The world, who dissected the composition of 838 “green” funds. Adrien Sénécat, journalist at the investigation center of the Decoders of the Worldtook part in this survey and explains, in this episode of the “L’Heure du Monde” podcast, the abuses of green finance.

An episode of Adele Ponticelli. Production and music: Amandine Robillard. Presentation and editor-in-chief: Morgane Tual. In this episode: an excerpt from the film Mary Poppins and an excerpt from an Amundi advertisement.
