PODCAST Wednesday: is it really a Tim Burton series?


On the occasion of the new issue of Spotlight, the AlloCiné podcast, three editorial journalists returned to the “Wednesday” series and Tim Burton’s involvement in the project.

It’s the number one series on Netflix. Wednesday follows the adventures of the Addams Family’s morbid teenager at her new school, Nevermore Academy. Led by actress Jenna Ortega, the project marks Tim Burton’s first steps into the world of series. He directs four of the eight episodes.

The platform is counting on the director to attract the curious. His name is everywhere: trailers, posters… But is Wednesday really a Tim Burton series? Between a specification to be respected and an inevitable formatting, it is not always easy to impose to keep a certain freedom.

For the new issue of the AlloCiné podcast, Spotlight, three editorial journalists return to the filmmaker’s involvement in this project intended for the general public.
