What do share pensions and Germany funds actually mean for my old-age provision? In the “What the Finance” podcast, host Anissa Brinkhoff talks to Prof. Dr. Tabea Bucher-Koenen.

Ever since our new federal government was formed, the word “share pension” has been in the air – and at the same time an indirect indication that our previous pension system is no longer sufficient. It sounds exciting at first that our pension system should change: But what does it actually mean when we are currently talking about stock pensions? What does this word stand for? What does the coalition agreement say about this? Why even think about stock annuity? What problem should she solve?

Because nothing has really been decided politically at the moment, podcast host Anissa Brinkhoff talks to the scientist Prof. Dr. Tabea Bucher-Koenen from the University of Mannheim. She has been researching pension systems, financial literacy and financial decisions for many years. Therefore, she can explain the current discussion very well.
