After comics, novels, music and animation, it is time for Maliki and his gang to launch into video games. Mix of action, adventure and RPG, Maliki: Poison of the Past is developed by Blue Banshee, a studio co-created by the author of the comic strip. The game is published by Ankama and is expected for 2024 on PC and Nintendo Switch.
At the controls of Sand, the player travels through eras to fight monsters. His traveling companions are Becky, Fang and Fénimale. Beings as atypical as they are magical. They must restore balance to the world and the times. Because when faced with a vengeful nature, no one is safe. Fortunately, there is a stronghold outside of time in which the heroes can hide.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series, Blue Banshee set about creating a video game to expand the universe. Maliki: Poison of the Past is a turn-based RPG in which time has an influence. But it is above all in its story and its narration that we recognize the author’s touch. Oscillating between humor and moments of emotion, there is something for everyone. Enough to make this ecological fable touching and impactful.
