Pokeclicker: 3 techniques to avoid tendonitis!

You finally cracked for Pokéclicker and you realize that it starts to hurt the fingers and the joints of the hand to click all the time? It’s normal, the body is clearly not made to support such a thing. If you’re not careful and play for many hours in a row, every day, you might even risk the tendonitis, a very common ailment in people performing repetitive movements. And if you’re not ambidextrous, without the ability to switch hands to click once in a while, the pain can quickly become overwhelming. Here are three ways to avoid this and limit wrist pain.

Use a cheat

It’s obviously not a very legit way to do it, but it’s probably the best way to don’t have to click yourself. If you are a beginner, however, be aware that the browser game will automatically click on its own if you leave it running in the background. That said, the click speed will be at its lowest and never as fast as your fingers.

Scripts, such as autoclickers, allow you not to have to touch your mouse for the day if necessary (see below), but some more advanced scripts allow you to to cheat a little more by changing the game settings such as tripling the speed of battles, improving the egg hatching system, increasing the gain of Dungeon Tokens or even increasing the chances of encountering rare Pokémon.

The biggest cheats will of course allow you to obtain all the infinite game resources but, except for speedrun reasons, I don’t really see the point of doing it in a “normal” game, it would take away the fun, even if everyone is free to play as they see fit. If you are interested, however, I advise you to search for information on reliable cheats, especially on Reddit.

Scripts and autoclicker to automate the game

Software open source, Pokéclicker can be modified very easily by anyone with some scripting skills. This is even strongly encouraged on Reddit and GitHub, two platforms where you can find many scripts to, for example, automate the reproduction and hatching of your eggs, mining in underground passages or entering and fighting in dungeons. In short, it’s like leaving the game running as you normally would but not worrying about having to come back every X minutes to check on your fossils, berries, bosses, and other eggs.

Hire someone to play for you!

I’m kidding of course (although), but you can just as well save your game (especially via Discord), export it and have it imported on the computer of a friend who could play for you. This is particularly practical if you are away for a while. Also note that it is possible to play on your phone’s browser : This does not change the fact of having to click relentlessly, especially in dungeons, but the position of your fingers will be different and tapping the touch screen could become more pleasant.

Either way, consider taking breaks and doing some joint exercises to limit the damage.
