We are going to discover Pokéclicker, this click game with Pokémon that will make you totally addicted in a few minutes.
You may have heard the name “Pokéclicker” from friends, streamers, or maybe not yet, but it won’t be long. It’s a very simple game that everyone can play from any internet browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari…).
The concept is very simple and you will only need your mouse ready to click to advance in the game and capture as many Pokémon as possible to complete your Pokédex, as in most Pokémon games.
At the moment, the Pokéclicker game is only available in English.
In addition to completing your Pokédex, your goal will be to advance in the history of the different regions, including Kanto which is the first. You’ll have to capture Pokémon on each path to unlock others, defeat Gym Champions to get badges, and other classic quests in the genre.
How to start playing on Pokéclicker
This is the Pokéclicker home menu.
You will only have to go through a few steps to start a backup on Pokéclicker.
- Go to pokeclicker.com with your browser
- Click on “New Save” in the home menu
- Wait a few seconds for the loading time
- Read or translate the first words of Professor Oak (Professor Chen) then click on “Next”
- Choose the starter of your choice: Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle
- Click 10 times on the part where the chosen starter is located to inflict damage and automatically capture it
- Follow the following instructions from Professor Chen and complete the tutorial quests to get started

- Defeat 10 Pokemon on route 2. Click on route 2 on the map to go there and start battling.
- Buy 10 Pokeballs. You can find them in the shop (Poké Mart) in Viridian City.
- Purchase the Dungeon Ticket from the Viridian City Shop.
- Obtain 50 Dungeon tokens by (re)capturing Pokémon and clear the Viridian Forest dungeon.
- Win at the Pewter City Arena. Click on the city on the map to go there and click on the “Brock’s gym” button to start the fight.
