A final evolution of Chochodile “too perfect” for Pokémon Scarlet and Purple

As soon as the image of the supposed “final evolution of Chochodile” was posted online, many fans were quick to look into this leak.

Judging by the Japanese writing and the perfect pencil line, this drawing of Chochodile’s potential evolution seems entirely legit. Gradually, fans started to believe in this leak.

However, other more skeptical people suggested the idea that this drawing was “too perfect”. This led the user ModishAndElegantPony post an image by reviewing each element of the design.

Goddamn.. Anon makes a good point. I’m having a hard time refuting this. from PokeLeaks

He first wanted to praise the technical prowess of the production. “Great concept, perfectly executed” did he write or “Good design choice” speaking of the dragon’s tail and wings.

He noted that the Pokémon’s body was well proportioned with no parts too big or too small, and that there was a logical progression with the first form of the Fire-type Pokémon.

Ultimately, he judged the design to be wrong for being too conformant to Generations 1–3 design standards.

In the comments, some players share the user’s point of view: “It ticks all the boxes to be a good design, so it’s totally wrong.” or “The first thing that caught my eye was how ‘perfect’ and flawless it is for a supposed starter evolution.”

These fans therefore categorized this leak as “Fake”. The final evolution of Chochodile and the other two Starters arouses interest and curiosity from players. Game Freak should reveal more details in the coming months.
