An extremely bizarre glitch in Pokémon Legends Arceus caused a Pokémon to fight against a tree, leaving the trainer stunned.
Since the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus in January 2022, we have already seen several bugs and glitches in the Hisui region. But none are funnier than the one we just discovered thanks to a clip on Reddit, a player had to fight a tree.
A trainer shared his hilarious experience on Reddit on March 18. Surely you’ve never seen a fighting tree in Pokémon other than Simultree, and it’s kind of fun to see Garchomp attacking a real tree in the game.

At the end of the fight, you can see the text “You defeated Croagunk” which is translated in French by: “You beat Cradopaud”. This therefore means that the game had to confuse a tree and a Cradopaud, which did not even have a say against the Garchomp of the trainer who eliminated it in one attack.
It’s not uncommon to see glitches and bugs of all kinds in recent video games, but it’s rather unusual to see Pokémon fighting with trees. Sometimes it can be nice to come across funny bugs that won’t get in the way of your adventure, whether in Pokémon Legends: Arceus or even other games.
Maybe in the future some of you will have to make your Pokémon fight against other elements of the scenery, maybe a rock or even a table…
