Pokémon Cutecats: A fan recreates Pokémon with her cats

A videographer passionate about cosplay and cute felines has reproduced a real Pokémon adventure with her own cats as actors.

Pokémon is everywhere, from video games to animated series, from trading cards to goodies of all kinds. While the pocket monster craze never wanes, some particularly inspired fans have inspired and quirky ways to pay homage to this iconic franchise.

Fan-made Pokémon shorts abound, but chances are you’ve never seen one this cute before. Indeed, cosplayer and youtuber Costume Cat took her two adorable felines on an epic adventure in Kanto.

Magnificently disguised and staged in cardboard sets reproducing the environment of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, the two tomcats Goro and Luca performed in front of the camera for an absolutely adorable result.

Fans of the franchise will immediately recognize the first Pokémon games released on Game Boy. As Red, one of the two cats named Goro leaves his home to find Professor Chen… also played by Goro.

As in the games, Goro is then offered 3 Poké Balls and chooses Bulbizarre, this time played by the very convincing Luca. Faithful to the original adventure, the two cats go on an adventure, travel the roads in search of arenas and badges that will allow them to enter the league.

Despite his clumsy look, Luca is a fierce fighter!

If you like to relive the greatest video games through these fun and cute short films, know that the Costume Cat channel already has several videos of the same type. From Star Wars to Minecraft, this passionate cosplayer has fun transporting Goro and Luca to the essential worlds of pop culture.

If you have any doubts about the impact of such an activity on the lives of these two adorable felines, the creator of Costume Cat wants to be reassuring:

These costumes are handmade and designed to not restrict my cats movements. They don’t seem to mind the occasional disguise.
