Pokémon fan creates incredible things and gets praise from the developer

It’s quite a feat to catch all the Pokémon. However, one fan has made exactly that his task and achieved even more. He grabbed all the Shiny Pokémon and even caused a stir with the developer.

Pokémon: Fan gets over 1300 Shinys

The Shiny Pokémon were introduced in the Generation 2 games, Pokémon Gold and Silver. The chance of actually running into one is slim – about 1 in 8,000. However, that didn’t stop a Japanese fan from every single Shiny across multiple games catch.

The Pokémon trainer, known as Kyudan, shared his collection with the community via Pokémon Home. For those who don’t know, Pokémon Home is a useful mobile app that not only supports various games like Sword and Shield, Pokémon Go and both Let’s Go games connects with each other, but also enables the transfer between them. It also serves as a Pokédex, allowing you to list all your catches.

Kyudan’s list contains 1312 Shiny Pokémon. This number includes several variants of the pocket monsters. An example is the butterfly Pokémon Vivillon, introduced in the 6th generation games. Vivillon has 20 different models.

Kyudan could be the first to achieve the goal of catching every single Shiny Pokémon that exists after Generation 8. There are now close to 900 Pokémon and to put its accomplishment in perspective, would be an average of over 6.5 million Pokémon encounters needed to complete the Shiny collection.

The performance of this dedicated fan impresses not only fans but also Junichi Masuda himself. He is surprised by this achievement and warmly congratulated Kyudan on Twitter.
