Pokémon: Fish discovers a previously unknown glitch after 18 years

Strange but true! A fish has found a previously undiscovered glitch in Pokémon Sapphire in an unusual way. We’ll tell you how this strange incident came about and what the said glitch is all about.

No joke: A fish plays Pokémon

Lala is a Siamese fighting fish (without its twin) and found a glitch in Pokémon Sapphire that nobody had discovered in 18 years since its release. Lala played that Pokémon part for almost 100 daysuntil she came to the discovery.

Of course, since Lala is a very smart but not genetically engineered fish, she neither actively nor intentionally plays the game. using a tracking camera and one Document on which the input options are on delimited fields, Lala gives the orders. The game executes the command that is on the square she swims over. The Japanese YouTuber Mutekimaru is the owner of the fish and shows the find and the “fish control” in a video:

What does the new Pokémon glitch do?

The fish was just with that VM strength puzzle in deep sea cave on level 8 busy when she managed duplicate the stones that make up the puzzle. The stones have to be moved in a certain order, explains Pokémon expert Eclipse via Twitter:

Because Lala’s inputs are completely random, the chances of her moving the stones just right were pretty slim. But somehow the fish discovered the glitch. The YouTuber was able to replicate the duplication of the stones, so the find is real and was made 18 years later.

Incidentally, Lala is not the only one entrusted with the task of completing the game, three other fish are to play through with her Pokémon Sapphire. Maybe Nintendo wants the fish hire as a beta tester. By the way, the scientific name of this species is “betta splendens“. Can’t think of something like that.
