Pokémon GO: All regional Pokémon and their locations in 2022

The Pokédex is an ever-expanding compendium of all existing pocket monsters – filling it is the ultimate task and ambition of every trainer in “Pokémon GO” as in all other games in the series. In the main games there are version-exclusive Pokémon that can only be obtained by swapping with the owner of the other edition. In “Pokémon GO” there is another limitation – a spatial one.

What are regional Pokémon?

If there are no wild kangaroos in Germany, why should it be any different with Kangama? At the same time, one can hardly expect a monster by the name of Tropius to really live in Northern Europe. In short: some Pokémon are only found in certain regions of the world – these are called regional Pokémon.

Level up in Pokémon GO

To catch them, you either have to travel to these same places yourself or swap with someone who has visited them. Sometimes events also lift the regional restrictions and the exclusive Pokémon appear in raids or eggs around the world, but that rarely happens.

The second-generation regional Pokémon should be available worldwide in February 2022 as part of the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto, and the annual Pokémon GO Fest will always result in a global change of position. Otherwise, you shouldn’t ask friends and acquaintances for a postcard on your next vacation – download them “Pokémon GO” to their smartphones and send them on the hunt.
