Special Events are an opportunity for Trainers to Pokemon GO to complete their Pokédex, strengthen their battle teams and collect their favorite Pokémon in their chromatic version. These are also pleasant times when the community plays a lot and during which it is possible to perform many group actions.
When a bug comes to affect the pleasure of the game, it is therefore sufficiently catastrophic for Niantic does not let it flow as if nothing had happened. If you were the victim of the shiny appearance problem during the last targeted study day, don’t panic, a solution is offered to you !
What happened during the study day devoted to Noeunoeuf?
On April 16, a special Noeunoeuf targeted study day was launched in Pokémon GO. The Pokémon Egg appeared much more often in the wild and you could evolve it into Alola’s Noadkoko during the event. Your Noadkoko then learned the powerful attack Draco-Meteor. Last classic bonus of this type of day, Trainers received the double XP by catching Pokémon.
However, the event did not go as planned at all when it launched. The first players had trouble finding shiny Noeunoeufs, and a priori this spawn rate so low was not voluntary :
The publisher therefore apologized, promising to find a solution to allow players affected by the bug to take advantage of the study day bonuses they missed. We now have the details of their plan and that’s good news for players in the first nine time zones!
How does the catch-up event work?
Here is what Niantic explained on Twitter on April 21:
If you’re in the right timezone bracket, you can easily catch up on what you missed. next April 30 during the new event.
Prepare your Pokéballs, the hunt for the Shiny resumes!
