Pokémon GO tip news: try to catch Polarhume shiny during the last star hour of 2021

News tip Pokémon GO: try to catch Polarhume shiny during the last star hour of the year 2021

Niantic has announced the final Featured Hour of 2021 in Pokémon GO. It will be dedicated to Polarhume, the small Frozen Pokémon that looks like a bear cub, and will allow players to benefit from a very interesting XP bonus.

What is Featured Time in Pokémon GO?

Among the weekly events offered by Pokémon GO, we can find the Featured Hours. Each week, they allow honor a particular Pokémon by boosting its spawn rates and offering a special bonus to players.

Featured Pokémon for 1 hour during which players are invited to catch as many Pokémon of this species as possible in order to take advantage of the associated bonus and of course add them to their Pokédex.

The next featured Pokémon in Pokémon GO

According to Niantic, the next Featured Hour will be this Tuesday December 28, 2021 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. (local hour). During this window, you will be able to earn twice as much XP every time you capture a Polarhume. Polarhume is, as the name might suggest, a type Pokémon Ice from the 5th generation. It can evolve into Polagriffe with 50 Candies, which is not negligible since Polagriffe is very effective in both PvE and PvP.

You will also have the opportunity to come across a Chromatic polarume, so keep an eye out!

As the name suggests, Featured Hours only last 60 minutes, it is therefore necessary to prepare before the event in order to maximize your time and catch as many Pokémon as possible. To do this, you can follow the following checklist:

  • Make sure you have enough Poké Balls
  • Stock up on Berries to facilitate the capture and obtaining of bonuses
  • Make room in your pokemon storage box
  • Buy Incense (at least 2 to cover the total duration of the event)

In addition to the items on this list, feel free to use Lucky eggs or the star dust to win more XP during the event, which will be all the more beneficial thanks to the XP boost of that Hour featured in particular. All you have to do is go hunting!
