There is a new Slayer evolution to add to your Pokédex in the Hisui region. Here’s everything you need to know about the terrifying Chopper in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Game Freak’s latest title brings several new Pokémon to the series, bringing the total number in the saga to over 900, counting regional forms.
One of the novelties of this Pokémon Legends: Arceus concerns another evolution of Scysher: the double Bug and Rock type, Chopper.
Where to find Scyther in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Scyther can be found in “The Heartwood”.
Before you can get Chopper, you obviously need to pre-evolve it. He hides in a specific place Obsidian Fieldlands. You can catch it early in the game.
Follow these steps to find Scyther in the Hisui region:
- Head south from Heights Camppassing in front of Tidewater Damn and rummaging in Alpha Bibarel where the Pokemon is hiding.
- Keep following the winding river until you come to The Heartwood and you see a path lined with torches.
- Use your Cerbylline mount to jump the small cliff on the right side of the path to get to a field full of trees.
- Several Scythers will fly around, and there’s even an Alpha further behind the Grandtree Arena if you fancy a little challenge.
- The Pokémon attacks on sight, so use a Stealth Spray if you have one and crouch down. Sneak up behind and throw a Poké Ball.
Scyther is quite aggressive so be careful.
How to Evolve Scyther into Chopper in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Now that you have its pre-evolution, you now need a Black Augurite to force his transformation into a Chopper.
You can find them randomly by breaking an ore with your Pokémon, digging up treasure with Ursaluna, or in the Distortion world. However, they are quite rare, you might be searching for a while.
Once you have the evolution item, place Scyther in your Party, click on the stone -> “Use” then select the Pokemon.
The “Black Augurite” item allows you to evolve Scyther into Chopper.
