Pokémon: Sacha bows out in the series, a new anime announced without him with the Pokémon of Paldéa

With the recent release of a new generation of Pokémon thanks to Pokemon Scarlet and Purplewe already suspected that The Pokemon Company was preparing a new anime to highlight the new creatures of these episodes. But for the first time in more than two decades, Sacha will give way to new protagonists in this new serieswhich will begin broadcasting in 2023.

Goodbye Sacha, hello Poussacha

If we were able to see some short films and series broadcast on YouTube where Pikachu and his trainer were not present at all, this is the first time that the “main series” will do without its heroes forever.

We will not spoil the reasons leading to this change (don’t watch the video above if you want to avoid spoilers), but fans of the series won’t be too surprised given recent events in Ash’s story. Before his departure, 11 special episodes will air from January in Japanto say a last goodbye to this eternal teenager and his legendary Pikachu.

Next, a new series will take place with new heroesincluding a heroine who obtains a Poussacha, which will undoubtedly be the new mascot (a logical choice, long live the cats). This series will therefore be based on the Pokémon of Paldea, the region presented in Pokemon Scarlet and Purple. No release date has yet been confirmed, but it’s coming in 2023.

Pokemon Scarlet and Purple are available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. Do not hesitate to consult all our guides and tips on these two episodes.
