Pokémon Scarlet and Violet finally have a release date

After months of leaks and information being shared piecemeal by The Pokémon Company, the release date for Pokémon Scarlet and Purple has finally been confirmed in the game’s latest trailer.

After weeks of deafening silence, a second trailer to shine the spotlight on the next generation of Pokémon games was shared on June 1, revealing new images as well as Legendary Pokémon.

She also confirmed what everyone was waiting for, the release date. It’s now official, trainers around the world will be able to get their hands on Pokémon Scarlet and Purple on November 18, 2022.

Several new species of Pokémon have been revealed in this new trailer, and it also looks like a brand new cooperative mode that will allow 4 players to play together is in order.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was first announced in February 2022, with a trailer hinting at a new region inspired by Spain and revealing the starting starter: Chocodile, Poussacha, and Coiffeton.

These new games will kick off the ninth generation of Pokémon and, unlike the recent spin-off Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they will be entirely open-world. They are also expected to return to more traditional mechanics.

Although this second trailer gave a better look at the games to come, many questions still remain unanswered, especially in terms of the evolution of the starters, or if another Evolution will appear. Case to follow.
